Community Movie Night: Hidden Figures

The Southern Cayuga Anne Frank Tree Project is hosing their Annual FREE Community Movie & Pizza Night! Southern Cayuga High School Friday, March 9th at 6:00 PM.

Hidden Figures (copyright 20th Century Fox) tells the incredible untold story of Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monae) – brilliant African-American women working at NASA who served as the brains behind the launch into orbit of astronaut John Glenn, a stunning achievement that turned around the Space Race. The visionary trio crossed all gender and racial lines and inspired generations.

Enjoy free pizza as well as math and science games beginning at 6:00 PM. Story time with Elaine Meyers for ages 6-8 and families from 6:00 – 6:20 PM. The Friends of the Planetarium will have activities available. The SCCS Masterminds team will host space science trivia questions. The film screening begins at 7:00 PM.
