The Interrogation

On Thursday, November 1, Dr. Erez Pery, a film maker and scholar from Israel, will be visiting Cornell to show his film “The Interrogation” which focuses on the post-war interrogation of Rudolf Höss, the longest-serving Kommandant at Auschwitz. The film is based on Höss’ autobiography composed in a Polish prison prior to execution. The film is subtitled in English and a discussion with Dr. Pery will follow the viewing. Pery is a senior lecturer at The School of Audio and Visual Arts at Sapir College in Israel and in the last 10 years, he has engaged artistically and academically with the topics of Memory, History and Trauma within visual culture. He is currently a fellow at the Taub Center at NYU. The event will begin at 7:30 PM in 122 Rockefeller Hall. The public is invited and tickets are not required. Watch the trailer.
