Teacher & Educator Support

European Jewish Population 1933

Our intent is to provide information about the  Holocaust which can help educators working in the Ithaca area.  While there is an enormous amount of Holocaust material available on the Internet for teachers and educators, we hope to focus on material of specific interest to local schools and community organizations.

Video recordings of local refugees and survivors created by Park Scholars at the Ithaca College Park School of Communications is a project to support local classrooms.

The Speaker's Bureau, in which a First or Second Generation survivor visits a local classroom is designed to provide a personal connection to someone whose family survived or escaped the Holocaust.

Notifications of events and workshops offered for teachers and students is another resource which we hope to provide.

If you have a new idea of how we can support you in teaching the Holocaust in your classroom, please drop us a line by email: holocaust-awareness@iaujc.org
