Dr. Roald Hoffmann will be the speaker at the 10th annual Meta and John Spiegler Holocaust Remembrance Lecture on April 5, 2016 at the Corning Museum of Glass auditorium at 7 PM in Corning, NY. The event is open to all at no charge.
Dr. Hoffmann will share his personal story of surviving the Holocaust as a child. Smuggled out of a forced labor camp, he was hidden in the attic of a schoolhouse until being freed by the Soviet army. Years of moving from one country to another and living in displaced persons’ camps followed.
Please attend the lecture on April 5 to hear the background of the accomplished and honored scientist and writer who is the Frank H.T. Rhodes Professor of Humane Letters, Emeritus, at Cornell University and who received the 1981 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, with Kenichi Fukui.
