The Goldsworthy Holocaust Memorial in the F.R. Newman Arboretum at the Cornell Plantations was created in 2004 by Andy Goldsworthy, a then A.D. White Professor-at-Large at Cornell, and famed environmental artist. The chestnut oak trees growing from large boulders stand as a living memorial to the Holocaust in our small upstate Ithaca community. The sculpture is an extension of the Garden of Stones by Goldsworthy at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City.
