As this fund was established by a local and most generous family, it is a model for us all. The IAUJC would like to encourage others to consider "planned" giving in their designations. The IAUJC board would be most grateful to discuss options with you. These would include options for the present, such as the Humanitarian Aid to Israel Fund, or for far in the future, such as the Robert and Marcia Ascher Endowment. Gifts of appreciated stocks can easily be handled locally by our treasurer.

The AMIT Elaine Silver Technological High School in Be'er Sheva has a student population of about 135 students, grades 9 to 12, including Ethiopian immigrants and both boys and girls. This school is for students who have not met academic requirements or who have been expelled from their regular, academic schools. The school gives them a chance to accumulate technology credits, each student according to his/her ability. Courses of study include electricity and electronics, PC technician, computer graphics, child care, landscape architecture and carpentry.
