Citizen's Climate Lobby Report

Monday June 22, 7 PM
ADVANCING CLIMATE SOLUTIONS WITH CITIZENS’ CLIMATE LOBBY AND JEWISH VALUES
This presentation, designed for TBE, addresses climate change as an issue of social justice, drawing on Jewish values of caring for the poor and pikuach nefesh, the value of each and every human life. Presenter Yonatan Malin, originally from Upstate New York, is now Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder and co-leader of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) Jewish Action Team. He has presented to local and national Jewish organizations and published this op-ed in The Forward last fall:

Yonatan writes: I will share my work with Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL), highlight policy solutions that address climate change at scale, and provide resources and tools for engagement. The general goal of our work is to gain passage of national legislation to address the issue at scale. But the methods that I’ll talk about are applicable to all kinds of advocacy, both local and national. And, I'll make connections with the current covid-19 situation.
