Intergenerational Mitzvah Day!!

Young and Old Holding Hands

IAUJC is organizing an afternoon of fun and mitzvot. We are working with residents at Kendal to provide activities that focus on: Honoring Elders, Kindness to Animals, Feeding the Hungry and Honoring Shabbat. PJ Library and PJ Our Way families are invited to join with our entire Ithaca community and the Kendal residents. There will be an opportunity for children to hear PJ Library stories read by their elders. There will be an opportunity for elders to tell their own life stories to teens, who will take notes and then document the stories. There will be a baby corner for tiny ones. Refreshments will be served. In addition - members of the Kendal harmonica and ukulele groups will be welcoming attendees as they enter. We are working with the Friendship Donations Network to distribute the food packages we will be creating.
