ANNOUNCING "HORIZONS"
A SPECIAL SUMMER OPPORTUNITY IN ISRAEL FOR TEENS AGED 15 to 17

Ithaca Area United Jewish Community (IAUJC) is encouraging interest among
local teens for HORIZONS, a summer program in Israel that is interfaith,
intercultural and international.

Givat Haviva International High School (GHIS) in northern Israel is a coed
boarding high school that brings together promising young students from
diverse communities and of varying economic backgrounds; teens from Israel
and around the world. All classes are in English. The goal of the school is
to develop a network of young leaders of the future, who will be encouraged
by their experiences in this program to work towards a shared society and a
sustainable, just future.

HORIZONS is the summer program of GHIS, from July 3 to July 22, 2022.
Participants will learn communication, conflict negotiation and leadership
skills while traveling across Israel, visiting many special sites including
holy sites of all religions, and volunteering.

More details can be found at https://gh-is.org/summer-programs-horizons/

IAUJC strongly believes in the benefits of the GHIS HORIZONS program, and
hopes to interest teens from Tompkins County, aged 15 to 17, graduates of
9th and 10th grade, of ANY religious or ethnic background to participate in
the 2022 program.

For more information, please email info@iaujc.org.

Scholarship assistance is available for qualifying families, as evaluated by
Givat Haviva. Moreover, IAUJC is committed to fundraising for this program,
together with other local non-profit organizations interested in supporting
local students.

Please respond promptly. IAUJC will arrange a virtual meeting
about the 2022 HORIZONS program with the organizers at GIvat Haviva in
Israel.
