Dough, the movie

It will take place in the social hall of the temple, located at the corner of Court and Tioga Streets in Ithaca. The line up includes: Dough on June 23rd, Raise the Roof on July 21st and In Search of Israeli Cuisine on August 18th. These are all Thursday evenings. Doors open at 6:30 PM for free refreshments and socializing. The films begin at 7 PM. Tickets are $8 at the door. Cash or checks only, please. All films are appropriate for children ages 10 and above.

Dough (UK 2016, 94 minutes) is being showcased in theaters around the U.S. this summer. It stars Jonathan Pryce and Pauline Collins. The comedy focuses on the relationship between an old Jewish baker in London’s East End and his young Muslim apprentice. When the apprentice accidentally dumps marijuana into the challah dough, sales really begin to pick up. Thursday, June 23rd, at 6:30 PM.

The film festival is brought to you through Menemsha Films and the National Center for Jewish Film. For further information call 257-9924.
