LGBT activist and advocate Etai Pinkas will talk about LGBT marriage laws, and his role working with city council government. He is an LGBT community leader in Israel, served as chairman of the national LGBT association in Israel and was a member of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa City Council and advises the mayor on LGBT affairs. He married his partner in 2005 as part of a public campaign to compel Israel to recognize same-sex marriages.Their marriage was performed in Canada, the only country at that time which granted same-sex marriages to foreign citizens.
