Pam Ehrenberg visited Ithaca and gave a presentation of her new children's book, Queen of the Hanukkah Dosas. The book is a new offering of the PJ Library for this year's holiday season. The event took place at Buffalo Street Books. Both young and old attended, including quite a few PJ Library subscribers.
The story is about a multicultural family that celebrates Hanukkah by frying dosas instead of latkes. The little sister, who is always getting into trouble by climbing on everything, ends up saving the day.
As part of the celebration, we made mango lassi, an Indian beverage that is mentioned in the book.
