September 2017 - PJ Library Intergenerational Celebration a Wonderful Success!

Old and Young Enjoy a Holiday Story

On Sunday, September 17th, IAUJC hosted a PJ Library celebration with the residents of Kendal at Ithaca. The public was invited. Many of the seniors read stories to the young children. There were art activities and apple and honey tastings, plus lots of socializing. Rabbi Dovid Birk spoke about Rosh Hashanah and blew the shofar. We enjoyed birthday cake to celebrate the creation of the world. Then we enjoyed a wonderful concert by the Klezmer Kings.
