Join us for this wonderful evening featuring a brief Shabbat service followed by a potluck dinner consisting (almost) entirely of triangular foods and a bar serving grown-up and kid-friendly drinks. And to finish off the evening, our community members -- that means you! -- will share Jewish comedy, storytelling, skits, and music.
Miranda Phillips will lead the service, and we are especially lucky that the service will feature a Purim spiel (play) directed by Michael Margolin and featuring TvO members and friends.
To fulfill the Purim mitzvah of giving gifts, we will collect monetary donations for the United Way at this event.
Performers needed! The comedy/music portion of our Purim evening depends on having performers, so think about what you can share! Do some Jewish stand-up, tell a funny story, perform a skit, read something, share a song...if the content is amusing/lighthearted and appropriate for all ages, we want you! (And if you've been to this event in prior years, you know that we admire but do not require professional-level talent. If you have fun, we will have fun!)
