Torah Law and the Historical Jesus

Rabbi Ari Lamm

Please join us after Shabbat dinner at 104 west as scholar in residence Rabbi Ari Lamm, speaks on the topic Torah Law and the Historical Jesus. Lamm completed his B.A. in History & Jewish Studies at Yeshiva University, and his M.A. - via a Fulbright Scholarship - in Jewish Studies and Eastern Christianity at University College, London. He completed his Semichah at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and is pursuing his Ph.D. in Religion at Princeton University. He is currently the Resident Scholar at the Jewish Center synagogue on the Upper West Side, and a member of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship. He is also an Executive Committee Member of Global Unites, an organization based in Sri Lanka that promotes grassroots, non-violent, youth-based peace-making in conflict-torn areas from Africa and southeast Asia to Latin America and the Middle East.
