Tu B'Shevat Celebration Held on January 16th

Story WalkAttendees at Event

On a cold and clear January afternoon, 17 families gathered in a local, downtown Ithaca park, to read stories and celebrate the trees. There were two PJ Library children's books about Tu b'Shevat posted on the trees in the park. Parents and children walked from tree to tree reading the stories. There was a scavenger hunt that encouraged careful observation to identify the trees in the park. There were snacks and lots of socializing. Also - there was tree climbing.

IAUJC supports the PJ Library subscriptions in this area. We currently have close to 160 subscribers! The program is free and also includes events and holiday gift bags.
