The Safe Haven Museum and Education Center is dedicated to keeping alive the stories of 982 Holocaust refugees who were allowed into the United States. They were considered guests of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and were housed at Fort Ontario in Oswego from August 1944 to February 1946. It was the only shelter in the United States for Holocaust refugees.
The museum is located at 2 E. Seventh Street, Oswego, NY near the Fort Ontario State Historic Site.
